I originally came to Switzerland with the intent of staying a year...now as I approach my 8 yr. mark it's apparent someone else had a different time frame in mind.
Nine months into my trip, I met Mandel while skiing. Yeah, it was one of those total wipe out maneuvers and the only eye witness (Mandel) felt like he couldn't just ski by leaving the hopeless "tourist" to fend for herself. So he stopped and help me gather my equipment which was skattered clear across the mountain. I can still remember him saying to me sometime after I thought I had regained my composure..."You have an ear full of snow"....and I thought he was just talking quietly.
So that's how it all began....from that day on we spent every chance we had together....and well....we fell in love.
That love has lead us down a road that isn't traveled by many, but has allowed each of us to grow in ways we couldn't have, had we not joined paths. Now married nearly 5 years we've come to learn that it isn't always going to be easy, nor is it going to be perfect, but as long as we respect, support, uplift, accept and hold onto that special love that brought us together, our path in life, despite rocks which can lay in it's path, will always be lined with flowers.
